WORSHIP & ARTS

The Village Worship Ministry  leads an intergenerational congregation of worshippers through music and creative arts. We are privileged to have the opportunity to lead in live worship each Sunday and Thursday, as well as special events.  Worship is more than music or a style, it is a lifestyle. We seek to respond to our Creator with all that is within us on a daily, moment-by-moment basis. The purpose of the Worship and Arts Ministry is to passionately and intentionally connect people from every generation to God.  Join us as we seek to create opportunities for people to encounter God through worship locally and around the world.. We are here to help people connect to Christ and His family.

Worship Team

Village Choir

Our worship choir leads the congregation during most Sunday morning services at the McPherson Campus. The Village Choir is multi-generational and open to youth through adults. No experience or music reading is necessary. Join us for a rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays!

Praise Band & Team

All worship services are led by a praise team consisting of vocalists and band. A placement meeting and audition is the first step for anyone interested in being a part of the praise team or praise band.

Village Kids Choir

The Arts

For kids 1st-5th grade, Village Kids Choir meets on Tuesdays from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. during the school year. The kids engage in a rotation of activities, including singing, choreography, music reading, Bible study, games, snacks and more. This group presents a yearly musical in the Spring.
Whether you dance, act, paint, or have another artistic skill, there is a place for you on our Worship & Arts team! Use your gifts and talents to draw people to Jesus and encourage people to worship authentically.

Camera Operator

The camera operator captures stage-wide to close-up shots of the announcements and teaching pastor while controlling and monitoring focus, shot composition and movement (with direction from the Media Director) so that the speaker can be seen without distraction to the gospel that is being proclaimed.

Propresenter Operator

The ProPresenter operator prepares and operates the equipment necessary to display live video and any graphics on all screens. The ProPresenter operator delivers the lyrics, Scripture verses, videos and message notes without error while creating visual appeal, supporting the Worship pastor to allow the congregation to worship the Lord without distraction .

Lighting Operator

The lighting operator contributes to ministry environments by creating and maintaining lighting and stage elements that are stimulating, inspirational, and attractive. The lighting operator supports the ministry of The Village by ensuring the pastor and worship team can be seen by the congregation and present the Gospel without distraction.

Stage Coordinator

The stage coordinator helps focus attention and eliminate distractions by ensuring all service elements and transitions are known by everyone involved in service (Production team, Worship team, pastors, etc.). The coordinator is responsible for cueing transitions with the audio engineer and ProPresenter operator throughout service so that the gospel can be heard and seen without distraction.
