TACTICS IN SHARING YOUR FAITH
In a world indifferent or even opposed to Christian truth, followers of Christ must be better equipped to communicate the timeless of the Christian faith. But how do you have a conversation with someone who is intent on proving you wrong and won't accept the Bible as a source of authority?Based on the best-selling book "Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions" by Gregory Koukl, participants will learn how to easily discuss the Gospel and their Christian convictions in any conversation. This course will train you how to develop a strategy through questions to help people arrive at the truth in a non-confrontational way. Books are optional.
Facilitator: Major Herbert Reid; Masters Degree Student, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
DIVIDED KINGDOM
2020 has become a year of division. We are divided racially, economically, politically, emotionally, and spiritually. How did we get to this point? What can we do to unify Christianity and our culture? What does a Biblical worldview really entail? Together, we will look at who God is, who we are, why history is important, what the American Experiment is, and what we can learn from the 20th century. We will discuss the competitors to a Biblical Worldview in our day. There is no book for this study. Participants should come ready to take notes.
Facilitator: Pastor Kevin Duffy; Pastor of Missions, College Students, Singles, and VCA Campus Ministries
HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE
On our Discipleship Pathway, Life in Christ is the seventh marker that focuses on living passionately for Christ. The “Life in Christ” milestone focuses on seven core aspects of the Christian life that Jesus repeatedly taught and modeled. Scripture is one of those aspects. We want disciples of Jesus to have a love for God as he has revealed himself to us in Scripture. You cannot love what you do not know. Take time this Fall to discover how to know and love God through His word. Optional book: "Digging Deeper" by Bill Korver.
Facilitator: Dr. Drew Curley
