Meet Jesus
If you've never fully committed your life to Jesus, you can do that right now. There are some key things to believe:
IN THE BEGINNING
God created the heavens and the earth, animals and humans, and it was good. It was perfect. Humanity lived in obedience and fellowship with God.
"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning – the sixth day." Genesis 1:31
BUT THEN
But humanity was deceived, disobeying and rebelling against God by choosing to eat the fruit God had told them not to eat. This severed humanity’s fellowship with God and allowed sin and brokenness to enter the world, leaving humanity spiritually dead and without hope.
Genesis 2:15–17
OUR PROBLEM
Our sin separates us from God. We are dead in our sins, without hope, deserving of judgment. We cannot be good enough to earn our salvation. We cannot reconcile ourselves to Him on our own. We need a Savior.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath." Ephesians 2:1-3
GOD'S SOLUTION
Despite our rebellion, God has compassion. He showed himself to be 'rich in mercy' and full of 'great love' for all people. Because of this, he sent his Son, Jesus, to die in the place of humanity, taking on his judgment and “[making Christians] alive with Christ.” The cross demonstrated God's love for you.
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

This is the Gospel. Jesus in our place.
THE GIFT
Jesus is the answer to our problem. Through Jesus, we can be reconciled to God. Through Jesus, you can receive the gift of eternal life.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
YOUR RESPONSE
Our reunion with God is a gift from God, called grace, but this gift must be received. Are you ready to walk in faith, trusting that Jesus has done everything necessary to save you? Make Jesus the Lord of your life and believe. Faith in God is displayed through repentance and belief. Repentance is a deep sorrow for the sin (ways we’ve disobeyed and rebelled against God) we’ve committed. Belief is proclaiming and trusting that God has saved us through the work of his Son, Jesus Christ. By continued repentance and belief, we walk daily in renewed obedience as the Holy Spirit works within us, making us more like Christ as we await his return.
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
HOW TO PRAY
If you are struggling with the words to say, say something to God like this:
“God, I confess that I am a sinner. I repent of my sin. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross in my place and that he rose again as a promise of new life. Thank you, Jesus, for living the life I should have lived and dying the death that I deserved. God, I give you my life, knowing that I am now yours to fulfill your plans in me. Thank you for showing your love to me.”
